MTN users in South Africa can check here if they are covered for MTN Fibre services.MTN has announced that it would be slashing the price of its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service by 50% in South Africa, reports MyBroadband.
MTN’s fibre products, which are currently available only in few areas in South Africa, now range from a monthly subscription of R764 for 100GB at speeds of 20 Mbps to R1699 for 1000GB of data at 100 Mbps for 24 month contracts.
Customers will also be provisioned with night bundle data to utilise between 12 midnight and 6am.
MTN said that it has also cut the installation fee for its month-to-month contracts from R3000 to R999.
In addition to the price cuts, “Customers who sign up for an MTN Supersonic 24-month contract before 1 October 2016 will also receive free installation, a free router, and bonus data bundles that are the equivalent of the bundle option,” said MTN.
