Adekunle Gold surprised all this fans today by releasing his album before time to the pleasure of his fans.

Nigerian musicians are known to drop singles freely and get a supportive fan base just from that single. They could even release 12 singles and still have no album for all of them and fans will still visit them in concert of any live show they have. It’s a technique that the Nigerian music industry plays on very well and it’s working out for artists.
Here are eight top Nigerian musicians who you love to listen to but may not know have no album to their name:
1. Patoranking

Patoranking is no doubt the king of Nigerian dancehall music at the moment. The artist has been releasing hit after hit from Girlie O hit to Daniella Whine to My Woman, My Everything as well as features with Waje, Seyi Shay and so on. He won the ‘Next Rated’ award at the 2014 Headies and in Jun 2016, he tweeted that his album will be called God Over Everything and will be released this year.
2. Shaydee

EME’s Shaydee has released hit singles such as Won Gbo Mi and High, too much critical acclaim. He has also been credited for co-writing some of EME’s 2012 compilation album, Empire Mates State of Mind. He has announced that his debut album, SOS, and will be released at some point this year.
3. Reekado Banks

One of Mavin Records finest, Reekado Banks is yet to release an album. He won the Next Rated award at the 2015 Headies which was well deserved for his hit singles such as Katapot and Sugar Baby. Also, he has been in Mavin songs such as Dorobucci , and Adaobi. Currently, his hit Oluwa Ni is doing well and his fans are still waiting for him to announce his debut albums release date.
4. Simi

Rising Nigerian songbird Simi has thrilled fans with her hit singles Jamb Question, Tiff and Soldier with fellow singer Falz. The talented songwriter is also known for her producing skills as she worked on Adekunle’s album.
Previously, she released a gospel album called Ogaju in 2006 and last year, an EP called Restless but fans are still awaiting a release of a full-flesh album filled with all her songs. However, she is said to be working on an EP with Falz the Bahd Guy called ‘Chemistry’.
5. Cynthia Morgan

If Patoranking is the kind of dance hall, Cynthia Morgan is the undeniable queen. From Don’t Break my Heart to I’m taken to the controversial German Juice, Cynthia has captured her many people’s interests with her bag girl image and ragga-style. She announced that she will release a debut album in 2016 with a 25-track listing.


6YCEE

Ycee won the Rookie of the Year award at the 2015 Headies.  He already has successful singles such as Condo, Jagaban and more recently, Omo Alhaji have left fans eager for his debut album.
7. Korede Bello

Another Mavin Records mega superstar and arguably the most romantic of the group, Korede has sang his way into many fan’s heart. His hits include the catchy Godwin, Mr. Romantic and currently, Mungo Park but he is yet to tell fans when his debut album is said to drop.
8. Niyola

Niyola has been with EME for three years and has no debut album to her name. She won the Female Artist of the Year award at the 2014 Nigerian Entertainment Awards. She has won over fans with singles such as Love To Love YOU, Toh Bad and Last Bus-Stop which were well received. And fans are hoping this year will be the year of her debut album.
